Mark helped a client from abroad to acquire a beautiful small Highland estate against strong competition at a closing date for offers. He introduced his client to all the profession parties necessary to buy and manage the property – bankers, solicitors, accountant and architect. The purchase was successfully achieved with the minimum of delay and without complications.
West Coast island
Mark was asked to provide a client from London with informal advice regarding the purchase of an island on the West Coast of Scotland. He explained the closing date process and suggested an appropriate solicitor to act in the purchase. His advice included anecdotal stories of island living and offered a ‘phone a friend’ service, until the island had been acquired.

When friends sold their family estate through leading national Estate Agents, Mark acted as a joint agent. He was able to enhance the particulars with his local knowledge and arranged for a local architect to identify possible sites for houses. He was able to give independent advice on developments in the sale and generally to help towards a successful sale being achieved.
