PAST LONDON PROJECTS

Farringdon flat

Mark was instructed to find a suitable London ‘pied a terre’ for a businessman resident in Edinburgh, but active in charities based in the City of London. It was agreed that the flat should be easily accessible from King’s Cross Station. Mark inspected about twenty flats in Farringdon and Clerkenwell, selecting about 7 as being of sufficient quality to show to his client. A clear favourite was identified and successfully purchased.

Family portfolio

Mark was asked by a client – over several years – to help in the purchase of attractive flats in London, which would form both homes and investments for three of his four children. Properties were subsequently purchased in Islington, Brixton and Peckham Rye. In each case, Mark reported fully on the character and amenities of the district and on the flats available. These were then inspected by the client and successful purchases arranged.

The Northern Line

Mark acted for a young Oxford graduate who was going to train in the City as a solicitor and did not want to not spend time on ‘property search’. It was agreed to focus on finding a flat in Islington which combined practicality and amenity with access to the Northern Line. Mark researched the market fully, establishing good relations with the local agents, so that his client could concentrate on becoming established as a solicitor.
